Hmm, perhaps I should be embarrassed to say I've noticed it takes me 15 minutes to gasp my way through a mile? By the second mile I'm still at 15 minutes but no longer gasping, lol!
Started power walking after my surgery, after about 12 months very pleased with myself just heading home thinking if I go any faster I will be running, when a young woman went past me as if I was standing still 😩 by the time I reached home I was so depressed, husband said she was probably half your age and hadn’t got a new valve 😂 so now I go as fast as I can and only really take note of how far I have done, as they said in rehab get the heart pumping and use it or lose it.
Hmm. I might be a ‘dawdler’... at just over 12 minutes a KM, in my defence I’m recovering from a bypass and do like to stop for coffee and a chat on my rounds and often forget to stop the watch timer running! 😁
Power walking is so like jogging I'm always giggling as I put myself through it. I sometimes think jogging might be less difficult but then I try breaking into a gentle jog and realise 'Oh wait. Let's go back to the power walking!'.
Yea totally agree, I mean if I was pushing times of 12 minute miles I’d Jack the walking and just start jogging 🏃♂️
