Urinary problems

I have been on Astorvastatin 10mg, Bisoprolol Fumarate 2.5mg, Clopidogrel 75mg Asprin 75mg, Lansoprazole 30mg and Calci-D 1000mg for 17 months I have suffered with a UTI (urinary tract infection) for almost a year now I have had many phone consultations with my doctor who prescribes antibiotics, I don't like taking these antibiotics all the time and I wondered if a UTI could be caused by any of the medication I am taking or if anyone had the same. Afternoon RuthI have had a few of infections over the past couple of years, though I am on high dose of furosemide and have put it down to that. The only drug we have in common is Bisoprolol 2.5mgs

I know things are difficult at the moment but maybe you could ask your GP for a referral to get it checked out as you are having lots of UTIs.

Like you I am not a fan of taking antibiotics unless I really need them.

Thank you for your reply Pauline, I really could do with a face to face with my doctor about my medicines, but that isn't easy at the moment, I might have to wait till the Covid is sorted. Take care have a good Christmas. Ruth

Just a thought have you tried talking to your pharmacist? Mine is great and so full of information.

Am just the same and again only Bisoprolol in common, I've had five courses of antibiotics. Now on one antibiotic at night for three months, but I have a feeling that's not working it's still snapping at my heels!!
