Hi does anyone use a fitness tracker? I’m wondering if something is going on with me or it’s just a fluke
But my heart rate according to a Garmin dropped to 48 (which i couldn’t tell or notice) i compared it to my pulse where i counted on my wrist and i counted 72.
But i borrowed my friends Apple Watch (to see if i liked it better) and when i was in the store with my family the watch read 51 hr.
A year ago i had a ton of heart test done bc i was having chest pain but it was chalked up to anxiety and I’ve been exercising more and running and never feel anything g weird but i don’t know why these trackers would be getting these low readings.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this

I've had the same issue with a fit bit, like you I took my pulse & it was way higher on several occasions I'm not convinced these fitness trackers are 100% accurate, so have decided to do the pulse manually only. Interesting to note that when you have your blood pressure taken by a medical professional they always manually take your pulse even though the blood pressure monitor gives a reading!
My Fitbit does that occasionally at night, and shows a sudden dip to 40. I think it's just from an odd movement causing it to not register a few beats. The rest of the time it agrees with my BP monitor so I think it's pretty accurate.
Yes, higher every time. So I got my husband to take my pulse & he made it higher also, but it was only the resting rate that was showing as low on the fitbit. However, its perhaps worth speaking to your GP about it.
Here is the thing with looking at your heart rate monitor on your Apple Watch, fit bit, etc. DONT OBSESS! They are useful and helpful, but have their limitations. What matters is not one or two out of range measurements, but consistent out of range measurements. If you are feeling poorly see your GP or cardiologist.
Thank you for that. That’s what kind dr said as well. He said i could be having PVC’s which might explain for the low heart rate and the Fitness Watch not picking up on it
