Well yesterday (22/11/2020) we passed this landmark figure. So a lot of questions and a lot of generally good answers. Obviously the true figure is somewhat less with duplicate postings and occasional spam. Hopefully many people have benefitted from the answers given

I am one of those who have benefited from some of those answers. Very very grateful, also very grateful for those posts that have given me a smile, thank you Michael.😊Pauline
Hi Michael, I sincerely hope all is going well for you and you achieve the level of expectation with your prosthetic. Your posts inspired me (given my own problems) to have full investigations on my leg as I was struggling walking up hills or stairs. Was it Heart, was it Thyroid, was it general unfitness, was it caused by The suite of medicines I am on.....or what ? Well my Doplar and other 2 hour tests on veins and arteries came back very favourably for a 77 year old. Def no PAD but a few varicose veins which are not significant. Thank you for your inspiration JH.
I've definitely benefitted from this forum. I'm sure everyone benefits from the supportive community and the information signposted by other survivors (despite my 'victim' handle).
Another Milestone! Well done us! I have found this forum invaluable. So much so that I started a birthday fundraiser on Facebook for BHF last week and currently stand at £725...thanks to everyone who is sharing a story here to help others get through it all
Hi Michael hope you are making some progress with your new leg, what a hell of a year 2020 as been for you, well all of us really. I have benefited from this forum and I have been reassured when I have not known what to do. When I was suddenly thrown into the ring having a heart attack not knowing what or why, having people on this forum was a great help and still is. Reading other peoples posts is helping me not just what I post. So grateful for this being here. Thanks everyone for their comments. Take care and keep safe . Ruth
It is an outstanding source of information and news providing inspiration and hope for many of us. It is no laughing matter to have your heart opened up by a bunch of body burglars who give you a load of knock out stuff to keep you quiet while they are itching get to work with all their state of the art gubbins, gizmo's, clamps and saws.
They do it so well that there are only a few traces left behind and your life is restored and transformed. Amazingly it is all done big smiles and great competence and everyone gets to read about it on this site. Many thanks to all of you who organise and administer it.
I couldn't have made it through my 2019 heart wobble without the support and tips given here. Also have enjoyed the jokes, joshing, and with a few exceptions, the mild amusement the spammers offer😜. The reminder we're still people like anyone else with personalities ranging from A-Z is priceless.
Same here weather-wise although a bit warmer than it's been (small favours, lol) it's grey and wet. Had some sleet hit the windows mid-morning then it warmed up. I'm hearing rumours we may see a 'light dusting' by the end of the week or early next - not holding my breath but it might be more cheery than this constant damp!
Everyone here and there fine although my children aren't too happy with the turmoil there. All well with you and yours?
Hi Michael and all Hearties, I have found this forum invaluable and what is so wonderful is that you can receive sound advice one day and give advice, hopefully also sound, to help others the next. It can feel very lonely having to put a brave face on things with the family etc, but in the forum anxieties and frustations are shared which has been even more important than the factual information. Michael I hope your recovery is speedy after all you've been through.
My lot says between the pandemic and political situation they're for once glad they can't travel. So far only my dil has had it so that's a good thing and hopefully by Thanksgiving-Christmas 2021 they'll all be able to travel here for a good long reunion - hope floats!
Well done the lass and here's hoping her ATARs are 1sts all the way - five offers, wow well done!
We can but hope, seeing our family by FaceTime is one thing but to have a proper hug would be amazing. I will have my fingers crossed for you to have the best reunion ever, come next year.
