Had a HA 3 weeks ago, blood clot and 3 stents inserted.
Have had Angina for some years but with no ill effect, until HA. Taken off existing meds put on new meds, Ramapril, Clopidogrel, Atorvastin, Lansoprazole and still taking Aspirin.
Walk for about 20 minutes(10 min each way) each morning to fetch paper, and find I'm very breathless, not so I have to stop but very aware of my heart working overtime. Slight to moderate damage to heart after the HA.
Just need to ask if the above is usual, or am I expecting too much to early. I know the info says a few minutes walking, up the stairs a few times i.e. take it easy. Also find I'm quite fainty on rising from sitting,kneeling... Have to care for the wife who has Alzheimers so work to be done..
Blood pressure a lot lower than used to be now 110/120 over 60/80 most days.
A lot to read so sorry for that, but any relative answers would be welcomed? Thank you.

I am so sorry to hear about your heart attack and it is early days
A few of the medications you are on can make you feel dizzy or for some it can and your BP is not overly dangerously low but that is something that could make you feel dizzy to having said that I have had low readings like yours and my Doctors are never concerned at those kind of figures regarding my heart
I had 3 heart attacks and the first one damaged some of my heart it resulted for me I had to have a triple heart Bypass and even though this has helped the part of my heart that got damaged will always now be the same so I was told I might be a bit breathless but in time the rest of my heart might compensate for the part that was damaged if this makes any sense at all what I am trying to say
It sounds also that looking after your wife will be a physical job and so I doubt you will have had time to recover before you were straight into caring again for your wife
I am not sure if you will have been given a telephone number for the Rehab Nurses at the Hospital you were in but if so I would give them a ring just for your own peace of mind and if you get offered Rehab then if you can I would try and get someone to stay with your wife while you go as this will be beneficial to you and you will get a lot from it
None of us are Doctors but you sound like you are doing well with the walk every day at this stage and the caring you do but if you have any concerns talk with the Rehab Nurses or your Doctor
There are also the BHF Nurses you can phone I will put you the number on who have so much knowledge they are also good to talk to
Let us know how you get on x

Thank you for your post and for the positive comments. I will perhaps ring as you suggest and or speak to cardiology if only to make me feel okay with what I'm experiencing.
Thank you once again for your very positive words..👍
I would say it's just a bit too much too soon. They usually wait for about 3 weeks before starting rehab. If you can leave yoru wife for so long I really urge you to go . You will get supervised exercises and build up slowly andthey will explain how much you can safely do. Also try to get some help with your wife, even if it's only to sit with her while you rest or do other things. I know how exhausting it can be looking after someone with Alzheimers. It was the cause of my mum's heart attacks looking after her mother.
Spoke to cardiology nurse at BHF she reassured me that what I was doing was okay but don't do anymore. Plus symptoms are to be expected after just 3 weeks i.e. give it time to settle and strengthen etc.
The BHF Nurses are very good and I am glad you managed to get to talk to them get advice and peace of mind x
Sorry to hear about your heart attack, it's one club no one wants to be part of but at least here your part of a very supportive, friendly club
It's very early days, take your time, rest and rest more, read a book or binge watch ' The Crown' or anything you like, this I'd your time to heal
Follow the guidelines about how much physical exercision to do as it very important to let your heart heal and take the medication as it will help you heal.
As mentioned give the BHF a call for any questions or concerns and please do the cardio rehabilitation when you get invited to it, it will do wonders for you.
Sorry to hear you had a heart attack. Just take it easy, baby steps, and follow instructions, don’t push yourself too much. Being a carer is stressful enough so take any help offered. All the best.
HA in July last year, hope you have been offered cardiac rehab I found that to be really good as you also find how to exercise (warming up and down etc). I also followed the walking plan which was also really good. I have found since being on the drugs my BP is low even though in a low dose. I have to be careful getting up quickly and bending over as that makes me feel not good but it’s a small price to pay, wishing you well in your journey to recovery just tske it easy.
