Abnormal ECG but the doctor in hospital wasn’t concerned? Am left confused and worried.. Could someone help clarify these ECG results?

Hello, am 29 and female.. I don’t drink or smoke and am a healthy weight. I have a few neurological health conditions such as migraines and epilepsy and other possible things which haven’t been diagnosed.. Anyways the past few months I have been suffering with chest pain that goes into my back, arm and shoulder also around the side of my upper rib area. I can get out of breath and feel dizzy and nauseous.. It was really bad one time I went to the emergency room and they done a ECG and about 4 more through the night as they kept me in overnight because of the ECG to get an echo the next day. The Echo was fine but my ECG has ‘ongoing ongoing TWI V1-2 and T waves V3’ The Doctor said that it will be fine and discharged me and didn’t give an explanation or anything. The issue is am still experiencing these symptoms and they are really distressing.. Should I book in to see a cardiologist? Or is this just anxiety or something else that’s not an actual problem with the heart that can cause these ECG results? Thanks in advance!

During and after physical activities or in mentally stressful situations?

I can get them just randomly and if am doing physical activity or stressed... I can just get them they will come and go.. Or can last for a while on and off.. Do you understand the ECG readings? Do you think it’s anything to be worried about or can you get them readings like naturally and harmlessly? Thanks.

I suggest you discuss your ECG results with your GP. Your GP should have been notified by the hospital that you have been to A& E

Perhaps give the BHF helpline a call and speak to one of the Cardiac nurses they are also very helpful?

My GP is awful they know I was in hospital and still haven’t said anything over it even though the ECG had abnormalities.. I will ring the cardiac nurses and my GP tomorrow.. Thank you.

I have biphasic T waves in leeds V2, 3 and 4 for as long as the 1980's. My T waves are negative and my GP has no idea and my EP is not concerned.

Oh so it can just be your natural rhythm to your heart then?? Think il just ring up the cardiac nurse and my GP tomorrow as am still getting distressing symptoms..

Please don't think the issues you describe are just anxiety. As someone who has had "heart care" for well over 30 years, your symptoms are concerning and should have maximum attention from your GP and Cardiologist. I do not know your cardiac medical background but one set of results does not nec signal the all clear. From a psychological point of view, especially if your body is "talking to you", follow up respectfully but firmly. I wish you well.

Hi. I have issues every time I have a ecg but they then ring the cardiac unit in High Wycombe where I was treated and then they say it’s ok you can go home. I have no idea why but they seem happy with everything
