A few weeks ago i had blood tests, including a NT-proBNP test, and my docter told me everything was ok. Also my ECG i took the same week came up fine.
Can a NT-proBNP (including a ECG) exclude heart failure?
I am still having some symptoms like, waking up everynight and being shortness of breath/trying to get e deep breath, fast fatigued and also sometimes chest pains and feelings of breathing through a strawlike (not really a straw, but noticing something is off).
Getting some lung tests as well soon, but i am wondering if i should pursue other options to get my heart checked? What are good options?

I’m no expert, but I believe it does. My understanding is that a normal BNP reading would be around 100, but in heart failure you’d expect around 400 or more. My first reading (that I was told of anyway) was almost 7,000!! Then a few months later when I was admitted for urgent transplant it was 14,000!
Have you seen a cardiologist, or just your GP? I would think a cardiologist would be best placed to make judgements, but hard to say without all the facts. Why not give the BHF helpline a call to talk it over?
I had heart failure and it was checked all the time although I must admit I had no idea what it meant just that mine was really high, I would see a cardiologist about an echo that would confirm if it is heart failure, I like ads 568, also ended up on the urgent transplant list,I am now 9 weeks post transplant and doing well, take care char
Thanks for alle the replies. Will check up on my doctor and talk with him about my concerns. He is pretty stubborn because i am only in my 30s and hé probably think i am too young for it so will have to push for more lol.
I have similar symptoms my echo was ok my bNP a little high but not concerned they said 484
I feel like I’m breathing through a narrow tube or like cotton wall is in my lungs so air can’t get through there’s never enough oxygen when I get the attacks
