My advice would be you must be tapered off bisoprolol. Is it ur GP or cardiologist who told you? 5mg is not the lowest dose so I would get a second opinion.

It is a cardiologist that instructed me

Interesting. Maybe that’s ok then. Perhaps you get protection from the other two meds. But if you start to get palpitations I would get back to him. A Fitbit is good to measure ur heart rate.

I have been on half a 2.5 mg tablet for over a year. I would check what Caitlyn said about your other meds and blood pressure.

I was on 7.5mg and was instructed to reduce to 2.5mg at my community cardiology unit by a specialist GP. I was not told to taper and forgot to ask so I first reduced to 5mg and then to 2.5mg a week later. I had no adverse effects. I have a pacemaker due to AV block so I’m not clear what effect the bisoprolol has anyway.

Why did the doctor say to stop bisoprolol 5mg abruptly?

Said my pulse is low

Well, you should take lisinopril 5mg as a prescription.

If you want to take some other homeopathy treatment then contact me, I will suggest you homeopathy treatment for high blood pressure.

I was on the lowest dose of bisopralol for 6 months only when I started having hallucinations. My GP stopped it immediately. I had no ill effects at all.

I was on 5mg of Bisoprolol, was in hospital admitted by ambulance for breathing problems. Had my meds changed and the Bisoprolol was stopped immediately and replaced with other meds. No problems to report. Breathing problems better becuase Bisoprolol does affect breathing especially if you have underlying breathing problems as I do.

I think you can't just stop them without another course of action in place or without your cardiologist's permission.

I was on Bisoprolol a while ago. I queried my doctor about the need for it when doing an overall drug review, and he said I should stop taking it; I did stop; no issues arose.

Some people are very lucky and don’t have withdrawal from bisoprolol but I weaned for 8 months from only 2.5mgs . I am now on day 14 of stopping and the rebound is absolutely awful, palpitations, waking every night around 3.30 in a feeling of panic and anxiety for no reason. I hope you are a lucky one with no rebound ect but if you do it is horrible and can go on for many weeks before you are back to normal.
