I woudl avoid it until the stents have had time to bed in; at least until you are allowed to drive again.

Apparently I’m allowed to drive from this Tuesday. I have no pain when walking or doing daily chores and don’t need my GTN spray so was hoping to start soon 👍🙏

Why not ring the BHF nurses tomorrow just to be sure?

Best advice specific to your case as to when you can get back out on the golf course is going to come from the cardiac nurse if you were assigned one, or the cardiologist. The GP might be able to advise you IF the cardiologist's letter has hit your GP's inbox.

Everyone has a different speed of recovery so generic advice isn't going to be much use and you really don't want to be out on the golf course, swing and then drop to your knees in agonising pain as a consequence of aggravating the stents. I don't have stents but I was on the tennis court several years ago when someone 8wks post-angioplasty tried to serve and immediately was doubled up on the floor screaming from the pain.

I've never forgot that poor man in such pain. It was months before he came back to the courts and for a long time after he only played doubles so he could avoid serving and returning overhead shots.

Hi I had a heart attack whilst playing golf 3 years ago. Had 4 stents fitted. Fortunately my cardio rehab nurse was also a golfer. I was advised to refrain from golf for 3 months gradually building up my fitness with long walks .

I was in a similar position last year. I had my heart attack and stents fitted in April and was advised not to play until August. I built up my stamina before playing by walking the course with the other seniors, first three then six holes and so on. I started playing the same way. I now do warm up exercises, which I learnt during 10 weeks cardio rehab following the incident, before and after every round. Good golfing, eventually. I have even managed my first hole in one this year....
