My wife had open heart surgery 1 month ago. She had her mitral value replaced and her tricuspid valve repaired. Now we found out that she is having problems with her diaphragm due to the surgery. Right side of her diaphragm went into her lung.
Anyone out there with any experience or knowledge about diaphragm problems?

I’m sorry nobody has responded to your question, perhaps it might be an idea to speak to your consultant or doctor. I hope your wife feels better soon.
Hi, have just seen your post, I had open heart surgery 4 years ago, I think this is something the surgeon or even your wife’s cardiologist should be looking at. I have heard of the sternum moving before it’s fully healed but not it going into the lung. Hope you can get this sorted out quickly.
Only in the fact that I have a hiatus hernia. It is a nuisance and can cause some confusion with pains etc. I can't explain your wife's problem though, only that the diaphragm is strong but delicate, if that makes sense. It's possible that some simple exercises may help to 're-place' the diaphragm. Please talk to your doctor.
