I have taken both of the above drugs for approximately two years and recently had my Losartan increased to 100 mg daily.
I felt so tired that I reduced the dose to 75mg but still felt generally unwell so am now back on 50 mg of both Losartan and Inspra.
Has anyone else experienced this overwhelming feeling of tiredness with a really dull head and of course little or no energy?
Have you been on this combination of drugs and switched to something with less side effects? If so what? Both my GP and consultant are reluctant to try me on any alternatives and I am at the point where I feel my quality of life is more important than having my BP controlled.

I was on Eplerenone (Inspra) for a year between having a heart attack (stents inserted) and a triple bypass. I was on 50mg of Losartan at the time for BP control, even though the stents had temporarily solved the BP issue. I had no problem with the combination other than the affect that Eplerenone can have on breast tissue - somewhat embarassing being male! I came off Eplerenone three months after surgery.
It sounds like you have discussed the problem that you are having with the high dosage of Losartan with your GP. You don't say anything about the vackground to you being prescribed this combination of drugs, but presumably your BP had increased so you were prescribed the larger dose. I wonder whether you can do something else to keep your BP down so you can maintain an acceptable BP on the 50mg of Losartan.
