I had a heart attack July 2019 rushed into hospital had triple bypass and mitral valve replacement 12 months on I’m constantly tired and get breathless in afternoon my bones seem to seize up like the tin man from my neck down and also the muscle pain is so bad I take Myself to bed I try not to take painkillers as I feel I’m on enough meds and I am waiting to see specialist as my kidney function has deteriorated
Just wondering if this normal Or medication related I’m on Bisoprolol furosemide and spirolactone
I don’t have cardiac nurse or anything just gp contact when I can get an appointment
Would love some feed back on this as I feel I’m going nuts

Hi, well, your not going nuts. Its not uncommon to feel tired and breathless, but... kepp an eye on it and talk to your GP and make notes of how you feel and BP every day. It is not unknown to have problems afterwards. HTH
disclaimer, this is me... but I was told you will feel great a few weeks/months after surgery. TBH I felt much worse than I did before, it was put down to meds etc... After a year and a new consultant and so many scans and ecgs they found the stitches had failed and my heart was even worse... I was booked to have a new valve put in in march, but covid stopped that. So now two years on and basically an invalid in my own home. It took forever and so many drs appointments and history that I created to push them, I documented every visit and every day. I love the NHS, but some times it can be tough going...
