i now know the minimal/moderate plaque is in the LAD artery.. i can stop the omaprazole but continue with aspirin and other meds.. can’t increase anything because HR decreases in the evening.. Cardiologist will take another look at the angiogram with a colleague.. depending on outcome of that.. might have to undergo another angiogram or ultrasound scan.. at least now i know a bit more👍

Oh bless you! Suppose you at least have a bit of a plan going forward with further investigations.
Keep my fingers crossed for you 🤞
Hi Manhattan
It’s good that your treatment is progressing. I had two mild blockages on a CT angiogram and some “minimal” ones. I haven’t had a full angiogram but did have a stress echocardiogram.
Are you on a statin? That, together with lifestyle, will help prevent/ slow the progression of the atherosclerosis in your LAD and elsewhere. The Aspirin will reduce the clotting risk. Whilst no one can ever guarantee anything, these measures will reduce your risk of having a heart attack.
Sadly, many people have our degree of blockages (and more) but have no idea and therefore can’t take the preventative steps that might help them. I have seen angina described as “the cardiologist’s best friend” for that very reason. My blockages only came to light after an ECG/ echocardiogram to investigate a heart murmur (caused by mild aortic stenosis). Without that, I would be continuing an unhealthy lifestyle with no medication and slowly increasing my risk of a heart attack.
A full angiogram may be the next step, especially if you have symptoms. If needed, a stent will hopefully relieve the angina.
Having a blockage in your arteries is never good news, but identifying and managing it before it leads to further problems is a definite positive. If it leads to relieving you of your angina even more so.
Best wishes
hi.. yes i also had CT angiogram.. on 40mg Simvastatin.. and also on 120mg isorobide.. 90mg Tildiem and 5mg ivabradine.. plus 8mg perindopril and 2.5mg bendroflumazide and 75mg aspirin.. would think it unusual if Cardiologist missed anything on original CT angio.. but he said he and another Cardiologist will have another look
