AM not sure if this falls into the remit of heart conditions!Having had a valve replacement, followed by two minor right sided pariatal strokes, then followed by a very hard fall,on nose) trip, not fall. G P thought I might have have some .concusion.
Twice since then I have totally lost the sight in my left eye. Returned within 10 mins of closing eyes. Optician says he can not see anything wrong!! COuld this be due to stroke, or fall?

Hi... A total temporary loss is often caused by a blood clot. Ring 111 as you probably need to be seen by an ophthalmologist and maybe in a stroke clinic. A friend suffered this and his optician sent him straight to A&E. No major damage bar a minor blind spot. He was not allowed to drive for a month and is on now medication (blood thinner and statin). I suggest you ring 111 now!
Hello Sam. Sorry about your falls, very unpleasant. How well do you trust your optician? I’ve had good and bad in the past. Might be worth a second opinion?
