Hi all after some advice as a bit confused !?! On my previous posts u can see my history HA then stented and so on
So in March after around the first six months on all the tablets and statins my lipids tests came right down which I felt really good about eating excercising ,, so fast forward to last Thursday may I have a appointment with a metabolist this week coming so had a check up lipids test ... received a txt from nhs today saying abnormal contact doctor ... I’ve looked and all my lipids have risen slightly
Total from 4.8 to 5.7
HDL from 1.0 to 1.3
LDL from 2.3 to 2.4
And tryglicrides 2.2 to 4.2
I feel so deflated and worried as I thought I’ve been doing so well eating right excercising back in a physical job now and have put a few pounds back on but surely muscular as I’ve got stronger and fitter .... any advice or help would be great guys you all seem to be there when we need a little nudge and help 👌

I think you should wait and chat to Dr. Don’t worry they are OK. How’s your day going apart from that ? All good I hope on these fine summer days . Time not to worry until Dr says what’s Drs noticed . I bet if they did another test in two months it would be ok as you exercise and have good diet.
Hi pgb266 Yeah I hope so .. also have worked out both my other lipids tests where fasting one and I didn’t fast on this one !? Wasn’t asked to butt had a slice of toast and a coffe before test so maybe altered it slightly !?! Hope you are well to and have a nice day also
I just really feel so deflated and worried now ... it’s just because I have never felt so good and felt I’ve just got to where I want to be feeling good healthy working and back to normal and this has just thrown me a bit ... one minute I’m panicking those numbers now and the next I’m like well I feel really good and it’s confusing me .... before all of my episodes last year I sort of felt something coming ... now I just feel great lol strange and confused 🤷♂️

Did you discuss stopping your statins with your doctor?
I have microvascular and vasospastic angina and my Cardiologist advises that statins are helpful in reducing inflammation and stabilising even small areas of plaque.
Hi Milkfairy I would like to say I have been following your posts for nearly 3 years, and I have found them extremely helpful, particularly regarding MVA.
it’s been a long journey for me, I was taking statins as soon as I had my heart attack, and continued to take them for 18 months. I couldn’t understand why I was feeling so ill, no energy, flu like symptoms, memory fog, twitching muscles, depressed, unable to eat meals sometimes. I visited my doctor on several occasions and explained how I felt he suggested I try different statins which I did but made no difference. Even though I felt so ill he said that I should keep taking them. On one occasion I tried Tai Chi classes and had really bad muscle aches, I told the doctor, he said do you need to do Tai Chi I said No he said don’t do it then. One day my wife wanted the grass cutting and I couldn’t do it, from then on I made my mind to try to find why I was feeling so bad. That’s when I learnt I was not alone in suffering these dreadful side effects. I decided to stop taking them 18 months ago and very gradually I am slowly improving, my energy has come back not as good as before. I am taking supplements C0Q10, magnesium, vitamin c.
I find it quite scary the fact that I was sliding down a slippery slope and just realised in time. Some people never recover from the damage that statins cause. During my many visits to hospital with chest pain I have told various consultants Including my cardiologist of my allergy as I call it now, they seem to see that I cannot take them and are understanding my predicament.
I really wanted to give you a shorter answer but felt I needed to explain the situation more fully for you to understand.
I hope you are feeling better and continue to post your wise words helping others with MVA.
It is true when you read all the info on statins such as crestor and lipitor. The articles videos etc. are put out by heart specialists, well known journalists, people with first hand experience and whistle blowers in the pharmaceutical industry. These statins cause nasty side effects to most and some irreversible. I totally get why you quit but do you have heart problems?
