Hello Fingal123

Welcome to the forum

Since the coronavirus crisis the usual face to face appointments have stopped and letters are not being produced

I suggest you contact your local hospital's Patient Advice and Liaison Service ( PALS) . They should be able to help you get the information you need.

Have you been contacted by the cardiac rehab nurse? I had my HA end March and have a telephone apt tomorrow. No contact or suggestion of cardiology follow up but seeing as I am well i am not to bothered. Chase your local hospital consultant secretary to check local policy. Good luck

Hi, I am in Kent. I made things complicated as refuse to go back to my local hospital due to lack of confidence in them! The A&E told me nothing wrong and sent me to emergency dr. Luckily he referred me to medics. Mind they weren't that convinced and even allowed me to walk to xray other end of hospital! Only to find I had had HA and triponin levels sky high and being blue lighted to another hospital for angiogram. So I am under other hospital cardiologist but local cardiac nurses

Hi from what you say you have spoken to the hospital so what was the outcome of that? Did they confirm all of your contact details including GP surgery? Are they going to send you a copy of your discharge letter, cardiac rehab details etc ? Has your GP surgery offered to contact the hospital for you ? ie: cardiac secretaries? Sorry that’s a lot of questions but I work in a GP surgery and even with the covid crisis I know you should have had a discharge letter. Four months is a long time and you should at least have had a phone call after 6 weeks, which under normal circumstances would have been an appointment. Last question which health authority do you come under?

I left hospital with a discharge letter. Spoke with GP last week who didn't offer to make contact but said he would refer me to cardiology, no idea how long that will take. Cardiology wrote to him to say they tried several times to contact me which is not true and had therefore discharged me. I had an offer of physio classes about four weeks after HA but I declined them. My local authority is North Lincolnshire
