Yes, I've noticed that too. Don't know which medication is the cause, but not too bothered, just had to start using moisturiser, which is a bit unusual at my age 😮

Check your medication side affects on Amiodarone it's not a good sign.

As far as I was aware the only skin problem if you are taking Amiodarone is that you can become very sensitive to sunlight and should always use sun block when you go outside

Ahh yes I knew that I would be sun sensitive. I though maybe it was something else. I know the weather has been great but I’m not one for sitting in it for to long. I’d rather be out walking as I get board sitting lol. thank you.

My skin - hands and head and face - is dry. I shower using an aqueous cream as per one of my doctors and that seems to work

My doxazosin was recently upped and I have noticed that my skin has gone dry and itchy on my abdomen, hips and breasts. I was wondering if it was the meds too.

I’ve noticed a skin rash in the lower part of my legs, I’ve tried various creams including steroids from GP but nothing seems to help x

I’m using cetraban cream while I’m in the shower. Before that I had a spray baby oil. But it’s still dry. When I take my trousers or leggings off. There white with skin.

I'm on Bisoprolol 1.25mg+300mg aspirin - I was warned either/both could cause dry-itchy-flakey skin and were they ever right! Combine that with spending far too much time inside and a tendency to contact dermatitis, and it's just not nice.

I tried several different moisturisers and finally in a kind of desperation tried vitamin E oil as a full body moisturiser twice a week. The rest of the week I use E45 moisturising cream. Seems to be working for me, no more itchy dry skin.

What works for one may not work for another - it's trial and error to find the right thing(s) to cope with side effects like dry skin and even then, once you find what works best for you, you have to be sure to always read the ingredients (and order of listing as the list order indicates formula order quantity) as companies love to tamper with their products by changing formulae and ingredients to offer us 'New and Improved!!' products...that stop working for us

My skin has become more dry and itchy as my medication has been upped! I'm currently on Candesartan 32mg, Bisoprolol 5mg and Eplerenone 25mg. I've just reread the info sheets and all three list itchy skin as a side effect so there's not much hope for me 🙈. I just presumed it was better to put up with itchy skin and slather on as much E45 as possible, rather than upset the balance of my medication!

I’ve had this too after being able to put any cream on my face all my life! I’m currently using E45 anti itch cream on my face and had that & Cetraben prescribed last year when I had what were similar to burns on my face. Both can be bought from a chemist.

I use a Clarins or Elemis cream most of the time unless my skin flares up.

I had a mild version of CV19 and my facial skin started burning up again.

I also use body cream / butter twice a day which also helps with the dryness.

I’m just going to have to look for the best product for me. Thank you I wish I had the patience to sit in the sun by myself. I need company. But I do enjoy walking in the great weather.

I am only on 1.25 Bisoprolol, but have noticed a much greater tendency to dryness in my skin, all over. I am simply applying twice as much moisturiser as usual, (about a whole teaspoon on my face, for example). The other thing I have noticed is that inside my ears, the skin has gone all dry and flaky, really horrible.

I have dry flaky skin all over. I moisturise all over once a day but feel I could probably do it every hour with no noticeable difference!

I have had very dry skin for ages now but thought it was my advancing age. I did not think it could be the meds but now you have mentioned it that could be the reason. I am allergic to so much and use moringa cream mixed with aloe Vera plus a few drops of essential oils which seems to help.

My mouth, nose and eyes seem to be very dry too. I am on Apixaban and Amlodipine
