I am really bothered with nausea and belching the former meaning I feel unable to get myself motivated to do anything. I feel the meds I am on are the main contributory factors and in fact the gastro tablets appear to be the worst. I can also get sore when I try doing anything physical ie a tight feeling across my shoulders and around my right shoulder blade. Any suggestions?

I had gastro problems so went back to the docs and they switched things around which helped a lot.
What medications are you on? I had a similar reaction to lanzoprazole (nausea and belching) which settled after a couple of weeks but never completely went. I decided to stop taking them (after consulting GP). I still take aspirin 75mg and have no gastric problems. Remember we are all different but definitely worth discussing with GP maybe a telephone appt. Not sure about your sore shoulder area which sounds muscular
Thanks have been changed I from lanzoprazole to omeprazole and it is worse. Also take diuretics and thinking they might be the cause.. x
Omeprazole can cause similar side effects to lanzoprazole for some see attached link. I would discuss with GP though again see if they would support a period away from it. Were you prescribed it because you were having stomach / digestive problems or was it prescribed as a safeguard against possible problems arising
Sorry link att nhs.uk/medicines/omeprazole/
I asked for anti sickness medication whilst I was still in hospital after the heart attack. Still taking them and tried to not take the three a day to see if I was any better. But the nausea was back. So ask for something to help you. When you feel sick all the time it doesn't help you at all
Your right the nausea is more debilitating than the illness. I do have anti sickness metoclopramide but gp asked me to take sparingly and one of the warnings is not to take with heart problems. Which one are you on? Xx
Hi sorry I hadn't noticed you had an element of heart failure which in itself can cause nausea. It"s because the heart sometimes doesn't pump enough blood to the digestive system. Eating small amounts often can help. Sometimes a herbal tea like ginger can relieve nausea. You could speak with a BHF Nurse to run past how you feel and they may have some ideas, their number is 0300 330 3311
Hi I take omeprazole and suffer the same thing. My gp to try taking them half hour before my breakfast before my other meds, slightly improved, but I'm still embarrassed by it.
I was put on Lanzoprazole after a triple bypass two years ago next week. I was fine until about October last year & then I started having stomach cramps & diarrhoea nearly every week. When I went to the GP, after various tests it was changed to a low dose of Omeprazole but after a couple of weeks the same thing happened & I was switched to Ranitodine which didn’t work.
In desperation I tried taking the low dose Omeprazole in the afternoon with the agreement of my GP & found this worked for me & I have had no problems with any more bouts of diarrhoea since. I still do get some wind at times but it’s nothing like it was.
It might be worth asking your GP if it’s alright for you to try that.

Hi
I would have bouts of sickness & belching too I’m on lanzoprozol & had these feelings about 6/8 months ago I’m on a clinical drug trial after HA in Oct 18 my GP wasn’t overly concerned as he said could be from drug trial , sickness lasted about 6 weeks then disappeared but since I had procedure for ICD implant it has come back 🤷♂️ Sickness feels like your on a roller coaster, fluttering in your stomach but starting to settle down again as it only happens a couple of times a day & lasts a few seconds 🤷♂️
I have stopped them for time being and playing about with times I take meds to seeing that helps. Xx
