I’ve recently had Viazam XL raised from 120-240mg I hadn’t been feeling 100% nauseous and feeling strange/dizzy? I’m 99% sure it’s the side effects of the increase but I really don’t want to eat anything at all.
It only mentions on the patient leaflet the side effects but not that it would go over time.
I’ve only had the dose increased for a few days but I don’t feel right !!!!🙄
Just wondered if anyone else has had those side effects and if they linger around or your body adjusts. !!

Viazem is one of the many names that Diltiazem is marketed under. It is a CCI (calcium channel inhibitor) used to treat high blood pressure and/or as an anti-anginal. The most common problem with CCIs is odema. They may also cause dizziness and/or nausea - I found this at higher doses. If your symptoms continue contact your GP as there is a 180mg tablet available which may suit you more or serve as a stepping stone to the higher dose. Good luck.
Other brands of Diltiazem, such as Tildiem Retard, can be taken twice daily and may be more suitable for you. An important point is that Diltiazem should be taken just before or with food.
The V8 is on hold as I focus on physio for the prothesis!
Joining the hug, and the sogginess - I squelched so much on my morning walk I gave it up early today and came in. More rain on the way apparently, for the entire UK. sigh
