Hello guys I am writing looking for answers and advice for my 35 year old husband who has CAD and currently has 5 stents as of Jan 20, 2020. He is taking Ticagrelor, Asprin, Isosobide Monotrate, Twynsta, Carvedilol, and Astrovastatin.
Recently, as of last Sunday he took a walk on the beach and noticed that his foot was hurting and it started from his ankle and is now on his hips. We are on lock down, we have no doctors just PA. We don’t even have a hospital only a clinic. There is no COVID19 on my island, but are taking precautions. According to the PA yesterday he said that there is low pulse on his left foot and is lacking blood circulation. He was given only Tylenol and nitroglycerin cream for bedtime use. He has been feeling pain and I wish I could fly him to the next island for hospital but the risk of covid 19 (it’s there 6 total confirm) is just too much. Any advice to reduce the pain and increase circulation would
Be very much appreciated. I hate seeing him in pain like this and I never seen him like this before. Even when he was having super bad chest pains. This is worse for him.
Hoping to hear from someone. Thank you in advance.

Your husband obviously needs to consult a doctor but as your last post said you are in the Philippines and you need to island hop for medical care it sounds like this isn;t a realistic option at the moment.
These suggestions may help with the pain:
elevate the foot when sitting.
Take regular exercise
Don;t smoke
Take meds and keep to a healthy diet.
Go back to the PA and ask again what you should do - you can;t deal with this alone: your husband needs professional help asap.
He quit smoking as of dec 2019 when we found out about it the blocked arteries in Guam. We live in the Mariana Islands and we left the Philippines on Feb 2020.
Thank you so much for the advice. He’s been elevating, cutting diet since the stent and the exercise is difficult but I do suggest it to him. I have been massaging gently to help blood flow.
It sounds like it could be PAD (peripheral arterial disease). He needs a Doppler ultrasound to measure the ankle-brachial (pressure) index. The PA should, hopefully, have access to this equipment or be able to have it flown in - it is both cheap and easy to use. Walking is the best thing you can do (I know from experience) and smoking the worse. Good luck!
Update: There’s a doctor on island now and recommended that my husband use compression and do what he can to circulate the blood flow and has given shot for pain. Unfortunately due to the lock down he cannot leave the island for further consultation which is recommended. He needs to see a surgeon ☹️
