Extremely tired

Hi again. Just want to thank everyone answering all my random questions I’ve had. This is all very new to me looking after my mum who’s not long had a heart attack and heart failure

So I have another question....she’s 77 and has been out of hospital now for nearly 3 weeks. She’s still exhausted and sleeps a lot in the day. She will get up for her breakfast looks absolutely knackered and then goes back to bed for a few hours. She has no other symptoms I.e swollen ankles or breathlessness. So I’m assuming this is normal as she had quite a major heart attack.

I was just wondering if there was anyone out there in my mums age group who could tell me how long this tiredness lasts and if it’s normal.

Thanks

Hi,

How is your mum doing now? I'm still sleeping a lot during the day, just getting dressed wipes me out some days.

I'm 46 and had my heart attack in January, I'm figuring that not only did my body take a lot of bashing when I had the HA but also, it must have all been working overtime for a long time before just to keep me alive. I'm blaming that and the large number of meds needed for me being shattered so much of the time.

Hope that helps and sorry I didn't see this sooner.
