Just tried to do a food shop and couldn’t even get in the car park. Shocking scenes.....

Food shop
I'm looking upon this as an opportunity to start my diet!!
Yea that’s true. I’ll eat my stored fat reserve, I often wondered what my love handles were for.
I can;t believe this is true but if it is then it should encourage more people to go on a diet....
Seven in 10 patients admitted to intensive care units in the UK with coronavirus were overweight or obese, the first data on Britain's cases shows.
The research - which examined in detail the first 196 patients to receive critical care for the virus - showed the average age of those requiring such care was 63, and seven in 10 cases were male.
Yea honestly I’ve got love handles
I don;t know why people are said to be bored at home - it;s non-stop drama and mystery here: last night there was the" oops, I've dropped my red wine on the living room carpet - I'll mop it up" Two large white patches now on the beige carpet and, this morning, the discovery of what looks like dried blood splatter on the other side of the room (how did he fling it that far?) Just now a sort of low wail from the kitchen and "Come and look at this" I have seen foam before but never in such quantities on the kitchen floor. It's another mystery how a grown man decides to clean the washing machine (why?) and running it on empty generates such an amount of foam. Kitchen floor extraordinarily clean though..... can;t wait for what is next.... but the first mystery was he went to Aldi this morning, it wasn;t crowded and he came back with everything on his list but not flour.
My elder 2 children have just returned from the wilds foraging.
After the chaos of last week a firm hand of discipline has been restored to my bit of north London.
The police were called last weekend in loo roll rage incident 😳
Only 50 people were allowed in the shop at a time.
Most things were available.
Still no eggs or bread flour
But hey I have 9 loo rolls , 4 kitchen rolls, tinned tom's and baked beans.
😊🤸♀️😊🤸♀️😊
We’ve actually starting looking right at the back of the cupboard and low and behold we have found sustenance in the form of lentils. Furthermore, I can see a magical light at the ‘back of the cupboard’ what looks like a possible entrance to Narnia 🦁
Our local Tesco is getting better for stock.
Mrs B came out with 3 Easter Eggs, 2 boxes of Mr Kipling Pies, 1 LArge H&S Shampoo, a small pack of toilet roll and 2 packs of Chicken Sausages - from a store the size of my old High School
nb. she says don't forget the Snickers Multipack !!!
Fancy swapping that lot for some just in date lentils.
Just got to say this thread as given me the best laugh I have had in ages, thank you, you lot are a real tonic.
My Cardio NP says yes - Mrs B says no
Thank you for the laughs, a sense of humor is vital to get us through these troubled times
Strong sense of humour is what is going to make getting through this possible. Thank-you my fellow Hearties for your contributions here, much needed and greatly appreciated!
Sorting through the food cupboard to see what was there we discovered four Christmas puddings of varying vintages.
So that’s tonight’s pudding sorted, and tomorrow night and the next night and...........
Funny you should say that. We have some of those as well, never having been a fan of 'sell /use by dates' . We also have the family heirloom tin of black treacle dated bbe April '92. We are thinking of holding a party for it next month!
