:) I'm O+ too. But I think this study was in a small sample of patients so more data is needed in order to confirm.

O+ and have to say when I saw that I was sad for the A group and happy I'm an O+. Deep breath and reminded myself it's still early doors and even if true, being O+ doesn't make me bullet proof.

when i was at college I had lecturer who advised everyone to read articles/books etc keeping the five Fs in mind: feet firmly fixed on the floor of fact. Wish some of the journalists had been educated using this mantra - less scaremongering for a start and more of an understanding of the sample size and what it really means for drawing conclusions.

Well that’s another thing on the list for me I’m type A

Don't let it worry you overmuch - for now it's early days and so far all this type A thing is a rumour not backed up with a credible information source - Prada would have linked to the source if it was something more than a rumour.

As long as you follow the strict hygiene (and I know you are) and social distance, you're reducing the potential for catching it.

Thank-you for the link!

So. To summarise, this is a Chinese study done on a sample group of fewer than four thousand case studies.

It has not been peer reviewed but rather was released on a science site in hope of sparking discussion and debate between scientists.

My personal conclusion? I'll wait for the peer review and a much larger sample with a follow-up peer review.

I agree. I’ve now developed a cough along with my grandson and aches and pains and my chest feels like I’ve smoked 100 cigarettes (I don’t smoke) so I’ve had to stay off work from today as advised by the nhs 111. I’m already bored lol

Does your grandson live with you and you're both now self-isolating for the full 14 day period?

All the very best to you both for as mild a case as possible. Keep us updated!

He doesn’t live with me no but I have been with him all the time. My work puts me at a higher risk because of dealing with the public as well. I’m not in the older age group (although I have a grandson) so hopefully we can all just fight this. The NHS 111 said 7 days this morning online but I think it’s changed today to 14. Thank you. I hope you stay safe too x
