Can anyone recommend any good (vegetarian) heart-healthy recipe books? I’ve tried several of the BHF recipes and have a few favourites now, but would like more variety. The ones for sale online tend to be American. I tried this one, but I find it a bit extreme! The houmous is disgusting!

Cookbook recommendations?
HFW has a couple of good vege ones we use quite a bit. Jamie Oliver has just released a vege book. Living on the Veg (TV show) has a vegan book out. My son got me an Indian vege one - there are just so many vege books out there and in English (not American). We download a lot of recipes from the web - try BBC Good Food.
Thanks - I’ll check those out
I've just bought the "How Not to Die Cookbook" after a friend lent me a copy of How Not to Die by Dr Michael Greger. It is American but the measurements in the edition I have are in "cups" and g's and ml's. Some very nice looking recipes - easy to follow and good pictures!
I got very irritated by the cup measurements - having to measure out the equivalents then I was given a set of stainless steel measuring cups under a tenner and they make life so much easier.
Ah, yes I looked at that one
I’d looked up specifically heart friendly ones - little fat, no salt etc
Not sure about books, but there is a website called pinch of nom and they do slimming world friendly recipes and I’m sure there would be a good selection of vegetarian meals on the site
Thanks for this post. I too am always looking for good ‘vege’ cookbooks. I can recommend the ‘How not to die cookbbok’ as well. The author may be considered a bit of a fanatic in some quarters, however I am a true convert to the message he sends out. I stress, I am not vegetarian. I enjoy everything, but in moderation.
I’ve ended up buying the “How not to die cookbook” - will try some recipes this weekend. His ideas seem sound. I did however find this interesting review of the book and his work - worth a read.
