bisoprolol question

I have been on 5mg Bisoprolol, together with a cocktail of other meds, since my triple bypass, small stroke, endocarditis, and valve replacement 5 months ago. I have also had a repair since to the valve which developed some gaps. so, a fair bit of intense surgery and treatment. However, I would have thought I should begin to feel better by now and the strange thing is, I kind of do, I feel my spirit has improved, but my body feels like someone has removed my batteries! I was better around Christmas than I am now...I feel wobbly and weak. I am going back to my cardiologist next week and wondered if I should tackle him about the 5mg of Bisoprolol I am taking. Previously, to lower high bp, I was on different meds with no side effects. Is there a suitable alternative to Bisoprolol? I have read about other people suffering severe weakness on this drug but am scared of withdrawal symptoms......

thanks. I am aware that I am a tricky case to handle...two lots of endocarditis, plus a minor embolic stroke, plus all the surgeries, and now rather low (9.5) red blood cell count AND low thyroid........I will discuss with my cardiologist/s. It may be that I just have to be very, very patient until my body catches up with itself. Or maybe it never will again...all I know for sure is that I was stronger 6 weeks after surgery than I am now, possibly caused by the leaks that occured subsequenly tho now that aspect has been dealt with...so to be weaker now, that is quite hard to live with! I am also 75 so no spring chicken.
