Anyone who has had a nuclear medicine heart scan
Hi Yasyass
I suggest you ring the contact number provided on your appointment letter.
The staff carrying out the test will be able to explain everything.
Usually a leaflet explaining what happens during the test is sent too.

The BHF have this information about the test
As I have mentioned before it is quite a straight forward test that helps with accurate diagnosis. It does take a few hours with the stress and rest sections so take a good book. And turn your phone off so you cannot Google!
Have u done it michael probably take wordsearch book better than googling
No, I have not had a nuclear but with the PAD related tests; angiogram, angioplasty, CT x 2, MRI x3, more echocardiograms than I can remember and two carotid scans. I have been told the CT with GTN, beta-blocker and due is worse than the nuclear!
Hi Yass
I just sat in a chair like at the dentists but with pedals. It was just a gentle pedal to circulate the injection. It is NOTHING to worry about, honest I would go again tomorrow without any hesitation.
and I have done it twice
