Heart Palpitations driving me crazy

Hey there, this is the first time I've actually spoken out to others or tried anything like this... here goes! I'm only 27, by the way!

4 years ago I had open heart surgery and replaced my aortic valve! Felt completely fine and asymptomatic before, and after. About two years ago I had a pulmonary embolism, and a year ago I had endocarditis. Needless to say, I'm pretty anxious.

However, the last year or so I've developed these episodes of arrhythmia. Summer of 2018, I could run 8 miles a day. Now, the second I start to exercise I have awful palpitations and a crushing sensation in my left arm and jaw. It's so unpredictable, I can go a month without any palpitations and then suddenly have an episode lasting a week so awful I'm bedridden. They've started me on Nadolol, which isn't helping.

The worst part? They put me on a stress test and a heart monitor and both times my heart acted completely normal! They tell me my heart looks fantastic. Then during these episodes it's so painful, I can hardly breathe. My heart will flutter every other beat until I sit down.

I'm just at the end of my rope here and wondering if anyone is going through anything similar. I'm 27 and just want a normal life. I'm forcing myself to go out and run 2 miles a day despite the pain wondering if I can condition myself to not have these palpitations anymore. It's even doubly frustrating because a little over a year ago I was running miles daily!

Welcome to the forum. I’m sure others closer to your age and your ‘story’ will be along soon. It all sounds very worrying, and I complete

understand when you say you just want a normal life.

Just one clarity needed.

What are the doctors saying? Are they worried about your symptoms?

I hope you have seen them recently? Told them what you are going through??

Yeah, I've been speaking with them as much as I can. They've done an echo and ultimately aren't very concerned because my heart isn't acting up during the actual tests. They're writing it off as PVCs, but it's much worse than that. I'll be fine during the appointments and with a holter but the second I'm home it just goes haywire.

PVCs shouldn't be every single beat, shooting pain and breathlessness.

Hey I Haven’t got the same as you , but had 2 HA . And now fitted with a de-fib I,ve noticed needing to go to the toilet certain food s drink s can affect the heart going in to palpitations ❤️

my stress test itself looked fine... I can walk for miles no problem

Did they do an echo before and after?? This was how they found my problem...

now if the stress test was on a stair machine they would have seen me in all sorts of trouble...

but its not

btw, absolutely no caffeine please... no green tea, no tea, no coffee. I have one "normal" tea a week as a treat, any more. my hearts dances the tango...
