Hi

I'm sorry to hear you're still having problems. You put up a similar post 10 days ago. Somewhere in that post you said you were going to visit the hospital as your GP wasn't very helpful.

Can I suggest you either contact another GP in the practice and approach the hospital.

The is a support forum for people with heart issues, none of us are medically trained so cannot offer a diagnosis of your problem.

As you say ticagrelor is an antiplatelet medicine which thins the blood so bruising is a common side effect, but you really need to seek professional medical advice

Thanks you.ive got cardio rehab on the 29 th so hopefully il get some help. I know it’s not like a dr but so many people have experienced similar issues wich I find reassuring. X

I would contact the hospital where you were taken after your HA . Your symtoms could relate to your medication but you need to be sure.

Hiya. I also experience pains in my arms, which radiate to my neck and face - in fact similar (though not in intensity) to the symptoms of my original heart attack. It got so bad that I went back into hospital, but was given a clean bill of health (other than a medication alteration). So I'm non the wiser. My own theory is that it's psychosomatic. I find that as soon as I think about my heart - exercise - "can I do this" etc, then my pains start. If I distract myself then they can vanish. It's just a theory. Another one is that it's just taking a while for the heart and coronary arteries a while to get over the trauma and bruising of the angiogram and stent. Will never know! Yes, the bruising is terrible on ticagrelor. Strangely it's getting better now 4 months post heart attack, so maybe it will improve for you.
