I’m on Bisoprolol 3.75 mgs which I take at night, as it made me feel so awful taking morning time. But always feel exhausted still, how do others find it? My heart rate is around 58/60, suppose that’s good. See my cardiologist in 2 months time, know I mustn’t stop it suddenly but?
Always Tired: I’m on Bisoprolol 3.7... - British Heart Fou...
Always Tired
I was on it for a short time, but was taken off it as It made me feel awful and I nearly blacked out. I take 160mg of sotalol and I’m always really tired
Hi- i had mine reduced as it was making me feel so tired and slowed my heart rate to under 50. Now much better on 2.5
I take the lowest dose 1.5 mg every morning and don’t have any side effects. It is a beta blocker that protects the heart from over working. Effectively it reduces heart rate and blood pressure. I would go back to your GP to either reduce dose, change to alternative or check other reasons for tiredness - low iron, diabetes check, vitamin D and B12 could be low. Hope you find out.
I had to change doses too - zombie state after an incompetent moron (Bantam will know which hospital I am referring to) put me up to 7mg . I could not function... it was reduced by GP to 1.25 mg and I manage fine now but lowering the dose took over eight months of gradual reduction....
I'm on 10mg, no side effects other than not being able to get my heart rate up when I want to exercise but that's the point of them, my resting HR in now circa 45. I did suffer for a month or so when first on them with tiredness but it went eventually. Persevere for a couple of months and I am sure you will be fine.
Hello
I have to agree with Thecyclist, I take 7.5 I have been on 10mg but it was felt Heart Rate at 33 was a little to Low. I don't seem to have the tiredness that other people seem to have just a Low Heart Rate at times. Today I am just ticking over at BP 102/61 with a Heart Rate of 65 so not sure if it is the Entresto or Bisoprolol working together !!
We really are all different with how our Hearts work with the Meds we are on . Just question your GP to try an alternative.
Best Regards
Thank you everyone for your replies, seems a reduction in dose may be the answer for me, my GP doesnt like to do anything before asking the cardiologist, so see what he advises. Yes need to get vitD and B12 checked too. So want to have more energy !
I was fine on 10mg ( I'm 8 stone). There are many reasons for fatigue, and 3.75 is a small dose. Your heart rate is indeed good.
You may find it better splitting the dose between morning & evening. But seek opinion from your GP first.
