I am a 74 yr old male who has been informed a month ago that I need a triple bypass. Two years ago I had a lobectomy after a bout of Lung Cancer. The cancer is in remission but I don't know that the fatigue is from lung issue or heart issue. I have no cardio symptoms such as pain or discomfort other than getting out of breath when walking for about 5-10 minutes. I have an old leg injury so that kind of affects my walking.. I want to put off the surgery for about 6 months so that I can look at other drug ways to unblock arteries The docs say that it is not a good idea but... I would like some other advice. Thank s

Cardio Bypass issue
Hello and welcome to the forum! For the cardiologists to say you need a triple bypass they must have carried out some tests to determine this. Did you have an angiogram? Also do you know which arteries are affected and to what degree? I had four arteries over 70% blocked with the worse being the LAD at 85%!.
I personally know of no way of reversing artherschosis. Whilst claims are made I have seen no large scale peer reviewed trail to confirm these claims. Hundreds here have had successful bypasses. If you have any questions just ask.
Hi Stubby2061. Just to say I support Michael’s view that there is no credible evidence that atherosclerosis can be reversed. If the docs say it’s a good idea then I’d listen to what they have to say - while at the same time asking them why.
