Hi guys according to you guys whats the most conclusive test for heart and lung peoblem. I have on and off palpitations but mostly have issues with my shortness of breath : i am working out 3 to 4 times a week but stopped it due to breathing issues .. i need to know what other test should i do to rule out any other issues ?

Here are the list of tests i have done so far :

1-Echocardiogram in 2016 2017 2018 2019 all values normal

2-ECG 2017/2018/2019

2-TMT in 2017 normal

3-Lung function test normal during 2017 / 2018 / 2019 everytime i had shortness of breath issue

4-CT scan lung andnchest 2019 normal

5-Multiple CBC during same period

Here is my medication history :

I was on anti anxiety meds during 2017 and 2018 but came off wihtout any issues

I was taking bisoprolol 2.5 during 2017 and 2018 which really helped in my palpitations

I still take xanax .25 or .5 mg depeneding how anxious im feeling

So need help in understanding if i should look at naturopathic treatment for palpitations and shortness of breath or something has been missed that i should look into ??

Thanks for yout patience and advise and hope you all feel great !

There is no conclusive test as there are so many heart and lung conditions. For instance angina and valve issues can cause breathlessness and be present singularly or together. Possible other diagnostic tests could be a 24hr/48hr/7day monitor or an electrophysiology study. As you become anxious it may be that another therapy to reduce this is more appropriate.

Very difficult question to answer I suppose it comes down to what are they looking for. Like you I have been through a lot of them lol MUGA scan., MRI Stress, MRI, Angiogram, Holter Monitor, Scans with Nuclear Tracers, Echocardiogram, Bruce Protocol (exercise test on treadmill and bike) So lots of tests around. As I mentioned earlier I have had a Heart Attack, CABG, Stents through the by pass graft, and Heart Failure all started in 1982 so after 37 years still doing OK . In 2004 I had a bleed from an AVM leaking in my brain now when that was diagnosed the Neuro Surgeon said " This is More Serious than your Heart Attack " now that was a sobering thought as I embarked upon a 120 mile Ambulance Ride with Blue Lights and Sirens. Possibly that's why not a lot bothers me now a days LOL

As others have said, there is no one test. The cardio and pulmonary teams have a range of tests at their disposal and collectively those will help them make the diagnosis and therefore the treatment plan. You’ve had pretty much all of the usual tests (I assume you’ve had blood tests too).

Yes but i xray always shows prominent bronchovascular markings on lungs . Doctors never raised a flag about it . After that i did CT scan which came normal though. Why is that so ?

Just another point i have stomach issue on and off and sometimes food comes back to throat after heavy meal . No heart burn though. Lot of burping sometimes during the day ..Always ignored further testing as belived it could be either heart or lung but since both are normal as per test results . Is it worth looking into stomach ? I see most people separate stomach with SOB . I beleive stomach is a generator to create all the necessary nutrients required by other organs to function well . Any has any sucess with this experience or comments?
