I would like to know how they measure ef by echogram or ecg thanks
Ef : I would like to know how they... - British Heart Fou...

EF cannot be measured by an ECG. The usual method is by a simple echocardiogram although a MRI or nuclear scan may be used.
Thanks but do results mri more or less the same as echocardiogram
Ejection fraction is usually measured for the left ventricle. However measured it is a calculation of the volume before and after the blood has been pumped out. As such the figures will be much the same. Because the heart chambers are not an exact shape like a cube or sphere there may be a few percent error. This is much the same for angiograms as arteries are not cylindrical with plaque evenly deposited.

Michael is right Ejection Fraction is measured by Echo Cardiogram, where as ECG measures for 10 seconds the electrical activity in your heart.
I have had an EchoGram, fascanaating to see ones heart in operation.
The Echogram will show how much blood the left side of your heart is being (percentage) pumped out. I think 65% is normal.
Also the Gram will show the size and condition of the 4 ( of what I call chambers)
I hope you are able to find the answers to your questions.
