Free Mince Pie and Hot Drink

If you are 55 or over and go to Morrisons on Tuesday between 2:30 and 5:30 you will be able to claim a free mince pie and hot drink. I will give it a miss as the petrol would cost more than going local!

Will have to check it out as the last few months I have been using the bus and legs every few days. I have only been getting the free paper as I haven't a third arm to hold the coffee! 😀

P. S. Was it your branch where the following conversation took place? I imagine it could be urban myth though!

I think you still get the free coffee but you now have to buy something first. Previously, you didn't have to make a purchase.

We still get free coffee and a free paper at our local Waitrose if you spend a tenner. You have to take your own cup now though!!

Well I definitely meet the qualifying criteria but I think I'll have to give that a miss - due to go for a session in rehab gym Tuesday afternoon, probably wouldn't look good if I rang up and cancelled due to a conflicting appointment with a free mince pie offer in Morrisons! 😊

Strangely I bought 9 bottles of wine yesterday and was asked to prove my age - 66, balding, grey hair etc. I don't carry anything like that but they did allow me to continue with the purchase.

Yes, a gallon+ of petrol for me or three buses! I did have an Americano in Costa though. Quite a few seem to drink these concoctions though.
