I’m 50 and I suddenly felt light headed and then felt sweaty and hot out of nowhere yesterday evening. Not happened before.

I had been in a hot boiler room sorting out the washing and not sure if it was that but had to sit down and had no temperature. Very nervous and Anxious all night. It’s been a year since my single by pass and I’m exercising at full strength again . 2 runs This week 5 and 3 km and 4 sessions in the. Gym with weights. Anyone had anything like This? Google is not good when you Read and it says it could be abnormal change in heart pumping action! My Hubbie was trying to reassure me but no one is really inside your own mind. I’m desperate to go out and run but it’s pouring down!!

I’d suggest speaking to your GP tomorrow, but there are several things it could be other than heart related, including the heat either in and of itself or temporarily effecting your blood pressure. Feeling sweaty and hot can be precursors to fainting due to overheating - I’ve had this happen under stage lights before. I’m assuming from your post you’re a lady, so whilst I’m a man and know little about these things other than from female friends and what I read on various boards I belong to here, I hope you won’t be offended if I also very tentatively mention the menopause and leave the thought there. Hopefully some others can come along and reassure you more, but I wouldn’t be immediately panicking based on one occurrence of something that could be nothing at all.

Always remember that Dr. Google is a chronic pessimist determined to prove that we’re all dying, and is therefore not to be trusted.

Thank you for your reply. I suppose the biggest thing for me has been an inner anxiety I have had since I had my failed stent and by pass having been very fit previously. Anything makes me worried any ache or pain or change! I’ve had a few months until last night of calmness and less anxiety so I was a bit shaken up!

Maybe you are overdoing the exercise, perhaps take it easy until you've been checked out.

Menopause?

Watch Davina Mccalls show that was on last week - a must for all women. Im a similar age to you with a heart condition but have realised that a lot of the symptoms I panic about could actually be menopause rather than my heart inc anxiety hot sweats even panic attacks.
