I know there are a number of US forum members so would like to wish you "Happy Thanksgiving Day"!
This means tomorrow is Black Friday. If you are going shopping be careful as a lot of bargain really are not!

🦃 Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving to others that celebrate.
Agree on Black Friday. I've already hit some good sales with coupons and no lines.
Wishing you all good health and happiness.
Happy thanks giving.
Our black friday seems to have become a black month!!
One local shop just wound up its "Closing Down Sale" in time to start its "Black Friday Sale"!
How funny 😂 I did purchase a black month item but from the very large department store that price matches. I bought the item on Friday & by weds it'd gone down by £70, I'm now checking the website daily!
Ps: it wasn't an impulse buy, it was something I had been planning to buy!
We used to go to the Mall in Columbus Mississippi for the Black Friday Sales and you could really find some bargains !! Only 15 years ago lol.
At work they used to cook the Turkey in a dustbin full of Hot Oil for Thanksgiving !!
Regards
I did an American (Alabama) Black Friday one time back in 1993. My son (then 11yo) decided to go along with me - we went into one store (J.C. Penney), he was almost trampled, I almost lost him in the crowd...he's 37 now, still remembers the scrum, and has never gone near Black Friday again. I haven't either
They are deciding if the paramedics should station themselves outside the sales or Morrisons! 😁
You might laugh about Morrison's, but the local ASDA had to have 'extra security' two years ago for their BF sales. I get the sale emails from several chains including supermarkets and after what I've seen on offer in those emails, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Morrison's, Aldi, and Lidl also decide to post 'extra security.
No, I was referring to their 2000 plus calorie high cholesterol Black Friday breakfast referenced in another post!
Oh, right! I saw that, had to look away quickly - those days are long gone for me but I still have to mop up the keyboard if I see an advert like that. Blimey, that plate could easily feed two for the entire day!
I posted it! :). A year ago I could have polished off two!
Match you and raise to 3! 😁
Well maybe not now but in the day... 😎
Four would be silly! It would be on Mam Vs Breakfast! Actually I think I will miss on this bargain (?)!
Sorry mum it was meant to be Man vs Breakfast after the similarly named TV program.
Sadly mum is no longer with us but she loved the Little Chef breakfasts. Where did they all go?
I quite liked them and one in Norfolk used to do a daily special. Sadly for some reason they declined for years with the last 50 or so being sold off to another chain. They disappeared about two years ago. Two I knew are now Starbucks and another a Greggs. I am no fan of either!
Why?
Have you tried some of the food in Starbucks or Greggs? Eye-wateringly expensive at Starbucks, and both outlets are loaded with all the things hearties (and diabetics, and...) don't need to be eating.
I have used Starbucks in the past but the new me tries to avoid sugary cakes and cheesy toasties. I doubt they do a healthy snack and as you say very expensive. How can any company justify over £2 for a coffee?
I also used to enjoy the odd sausage roll. Went in Gregg's once and it was horribly greasy.
British dark humour?
Think some of them may have been on the Mayflower lol
Thank you for thinking of us here in the USA!
Many peeps from the USA are also living in the UK.
Just being very quiet about it all.
Thank you
