First Christmas Card of the Season!
Happy Christmas & healthy New Year to you too Michael
Merry Christmas (but not too merry) and a happy healthy New Year Michael
December will mean a couple of drinks as it's my birthday month. I tend to limit myself to a 250ml glass of wine, 1.5 pints or a couple of malts. I used to get irritated as a kid as people would say we have combined both presents but in reality spent 110 - 125% rather than 200 %! Another irritation was cards like Christmas ones with "p.s. Happy Birthday". It doesn't happen these days as Christmas presents are limited to close family and birthday ones to family and two close friends. 😎
Yes having a birthday in December can be a bit of a downer. My best friend's wife has a birthday on 1st January so also misses out.
1st January is probably the absolute pits if you want to celebrate your birthday as most people will still be hungover from the night before!
I think that this year I'll be following your advice of quality rather than quantity
December is my birthday month & also my wedding anniversary month!

Thank you, not really a massive lover of Christmas pud, but gin hmmm....... 🤔
I'm a December birthday too
Mine is the 7th & my anniversary is the 1st. What day is your birthday?
Must of been a good month December my Wife's is the 5th !!! and it's her 70th . I have been taking good care of her since she was 18 now reaping the rewards as she is in good health should I need caring for LOL
Wow, that's a long time married, you've obviously done very well in your care for Mrs Prada. Trust you're doing something nice for her special birthday?
Hi Lezzers
Married August 1968
I will let her choose what we are having for Christmas Dinner from the M&S catalogue for her Birthday,
Saves her some work on Christmas Day told you I look after her!!! -)
😂 You're too generous. Will you let her stay up late? 😂
I know someone of 98 who is the primary carer for his wife. Their son is 67!
I thought I was being generous to, but now I need to go to A & E to have the bump over my eye sorted where she hit me when she threw the M & S Catalogue. No she is not staying up late I need to go to bed early with my Bad Heart and I need tucking in !!!
Christmas Tree was put up today as well. 😀
Merry Christmas and a good new year.
Merry Christmas and enjoy your Birthday. X
Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year to you all.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you to. Thanks for your reply yesterday.
Happy Christmas to all of you on here.
My daughter’s birthday is on 28th December, the same day as my late mother. Over the years we always made sure that their birthdays were celebrated on that day by going out for a family meal or having a party at home. There was always a separate present as well to make sure they didn’t miss out.

Same to you Jean. Have a lovely day the 28th. With happy and sad memories i guess. I lost my Mom December 21st 1990. But xmas as never been the same since. I always go away now. Hope you have a good week too Brian
I lost my Dad 21 December 1985 and like you, feel Christmas has never been the same. I usually spend the day quietly remembering him.
Thanks Brian, I do know how you feel, my mum died on the 18th December 2008, she was 80. & 10 days away from her 81st Birthday. My brother managed to arrange her funeral for 30th December so that it wasn’t on 28th especially for my daughter’s sake. It was a sad Christmas that year.
All the best to you.
Jean
Same to you MichaelJH. Hope you have a good 1. And all the best for the New Year
Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!
I have finally given the big Christmas tree, that was a devil to get out of the loft, to someone on Freegle and I’ve bought a smaller, pre lit one which is so easy to put together, wish I’d done it years ago. It’s all about making life easier now for us Hearties.
Happy birthday! Hope you have a really good Christmas as well. Thank you for your contributions here. They are always informative, kind and considerate. Do keep up the good work Michael.
A very Happy Birthday to you, Michael, and may you enjoy many more!
Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year to you, may this be one of your best festive seasons yet!

Yes, Happy Birthday Michael and Season's Greetings to One and All!
Well got my first birthday card today. Only three days from Europe - letters from my local hospital take longer according to the postmark!
