Hopefully this will be allowed if not I apologise, I have had this card for nearly 9 years carried with me in every purse I've ever had. Just made me think of this when I saw the post about the the bracelet and it says what condition you have ☺️. As you can see never added a picture should really get on to that 😂🤔🖼️
ID card, does anybody else have one o... - British Heart Fou...
ID card, does anybody else have one of these?
Hello
I have not got one but not going out I am not to worried if I did though I think it is a good idea even though I am not sure I would be able to fit everything that is wrong with me on one
Hope you are having a lovely day x
I agree I cant actually fit everything I have wrong with my heart on one card it would need to be double sided 😂. X
Might have to have two double sided ones for me x
Oh wow 😮😅. X
Yes there is quite a lot
Hope you are having a nice day x
Yeah sounds like a lot! ❤️. Yeah good day thanks hun, just been cleaning the flat and trying to take it easy at the same time well overdid it yesterday I was telling Andy my palpitations were so bad yesterday, and I was wheezing and breathless but fine today so I know I just needed to rest ❤️😘. Hope your having a good day x
Hello
Sorry to hear yesterday was not so good
But at least you know you over did it and taking it easier today and feel a lot better
Me same as always just worrying as I always do x
That’s a good idea!
Where did you get yours from?
Thanks,It was given to me on my first day of being a patient at St barts when I met with a specialist nurse she also gave me a Somerville booklet with my condition writen in side and pictures explaining my heart condition, hope I still have it somewhere 😅.
Don't have a card but would hope if anyone removed my shirt or trousers they would recognise the scars as Heart related LOL Card or bracelet are a good idea.
Yes Yumz, I've got one somewhere but I don't even know where it is anymore. Very similar to my Conditions too 😊
Aw wow so nice to hear some one has one! So what's your condition, mine is in my bio, I can't fit all mine on a card 😂😅.
Well, I had 'Mixed Heart Valve Disease, Aortic and Mitral Stenosis, Bradycardia (Slow Heart Rate) and a 'Musical Murmur'. The Consultant put it down to me having a very bad Case of Scarlet Fever when I was about 6. A very, very, long time ago!! Now had a Bypass and a Pacemaker so ALL good at the moment!! 😊
Wow you have been through so much but so glad to hear you going strong 💪🏻. Yeah I have mixed valve disease, I had Coarctation of the aorta repair, and bicuspid aortic valve. So quite alot but I'm all good at the moment! 😉😅😁
Brilliant Yumz. 👍😍❤️
Hi Yumz and everyone
Thanks Ymz... for sharing your card with us.
Can't see anything similar on BHF website, so. I just looked on Etsy & there's a couple of places that do similar cards that can be personalised with your Emergency Contact Info & Medical Info, but i didnt find anything you could write onto & easily change details on .
However it's possible to do your own card ... download a medical logo or draw a red cross on one side of a card cut to size, & write up you condition & all your info on it, add photo if you want too , then get it laminated (at a print shop).
When I was in Japan I noticed they sell "emergency medical bag labels" (like a large luggage label that open up to record the info) specifically for attachment to the kids school bags & emergency earthquake bags, and I thought that was a good idea too, but they didn't sell them in English.
Anyway the nearest I've just found to that on Etsy is a velcro pouch that you can put round the shoulder strap of a rucksack .... says medical info on the outside & has an inner pocket you can put a paper in with all your medical info on ....so I'm going to get one for my work bag for when I'm out on site visits.
Like others in the forum i've also been considering medical jewellery / tags recently but still not sure about what to get as I'm not a big jewellery fan & don't wear a watch. Not sure that a dog tag / round pendant or the watch strap tag fixed on to my trainer /walking boots / site boot laces instead would be noticed.
Take care everyone. And by the way all of your survival and ongoing recovery stories are amazing. Well done, keep fighting for your health, and good luck to all of you.
Thanks 😊☺️. I didn't actually write on it, the nurse specialist did. Thats cool that you found some on etsy they literally do have everything!
Good morning. I have a Talisman around my kneck which keeps all my medical history and emergency contacts information if ever needed. I also have a Talisman wrist one as well that I have never worn if anyone wants it. Brian
I have an AVR ID card from the valve manufacturer and an anticoagulant card too in the back of my clear phone case.
