Yup the sneaky out of the blue vasospasms are not pleasant.

I have learned to get through them. The storm usually passes.

One technique I find helpful is alternative nostril breathing from yoga.

Reduces your stress levels and helps with the pain.

I image breathing a warm golden warm light up through my finger tips to my nose then breathe out down the other arm and fingers all the stress and pain.

Courage is the ability to move beyond our fear.....

I have had great support to help me learn how to manage my fear otherwise I'd never get out the house!

I would recommend seeing a clinical psychologist to learn cognitive behavioural therapy and Mindfulness meditation.

Self hypnosis and other breathing techniques can help too.

I get that.

I was fit and healthy too. Cycling 8 miles to work, running up the stairs to the 3rd floor, worked a 12 hour shift.

Doing a very physically and mentally demanding job.

Then hospital with a query heart attack 7 years ago.

It does feel totally bewildering at first

There are loads of amazing people on the forum who blow me a way with their hopeful encouraging stories.

Be patient and kind to yourself.

I’ve just had a spasm that’s lasted 2.5 days solid, finally it seems to be unfurling itself.
