Valerian Tablets with Heart Medication

Hi everyone, does anyone take valerian tablets to help with anxiety and sleeping? I've been researching it and I can't find anything that says it isn't safe with statins, bisoprolol, ramipril etc but I wondered if any of you had any knowledge/experience of it? Thank you

Hi Caroline - I have occasionaly used valerian supplements to regulate sleep pattern but there is anecdotal evidence raising concern over the fact that it may interact with other meds such as stations that are also broken down in the liver. Of course we take many combinations of drugs that list 'use with caution when taking XY& Z but we are still prescribed them. My thoughts are to consult a Pharmacist for advice then make your decision.

Had it listed when admitted in March on my drug sheet from pharmacist because I was already using itNo one re medics objected

Was on the form when I came out too
