Hi can anyone recommend a travel insurance company who cover for ICD Machine as I’m going to be Travelling to the USA next year Thanks

Hi I had a cardiac arrest last year and have an ICD but don't take the monitor with me when we travel to the US. My cardiologist said I didn't need to take it with me. As far as insurance goes we ended up with Avanti but you do need to shop around as they all quote in different ways - good luck

I was covered by Stay sure last year but when we were going to the Caribbean this year they declined to cover me. All clear did though it wasn’t cheap. Emergency treatment would be likely to be evacuation to USA hence the increased costs.
