I have Angina and I am on heart medication for high blood pressure and also statins. I have just had a blood test showing that I have raised Liver levels Alkaline Phosphatase raised to 151 and GT to 541. I do not have doctor appointment for two weeks and have no idea what this means. Does anyone know what are normal levels and if any heart meds could course this ? I have also two inhalers for COPD .I do not Smoke or Drink and eat a healthy diet so I am thinking is it my medication?

Statins May be the culprit.

Mine were raised so GP has taken me off statins. I was on Atorvastatin 80mg which was reduced to 40mg but I was taken off them altogether.

Your alkaline phosphatase is just above the normal range but it is hard to give a value as it varies with age and sex. The gGT is using a different system to the one I have encountered so I am unable to comment at present.

There is a possibility that this is due to statins. If so it can often be addressed by a dose reduction or change of statin. There are a raft of other possible causes so you need to speak with your GP. One friend has fatty liver disease despite a normal BMI. It does make things complicated!
