MVA acting up

most of the day yesterday .. after holding off to see if it would improve finally gave in and called NHS24.. ambulance despatched.. tests showed no damage to heart muscle.. spent night in Clinical assessment ward in FVRH near Falkirk.. Consultant on ward rounds was a lovely cheerful guy.. increased Isorobide to 50mg a day and made a referral for further Cardiology Clinic appt.. hopefully will result in a scan and if necessary an angiogram.. also found out i have Ischaemic Heart Disease.. doc who saw me on the ward in the early hours of today. showed me the note in my record.. maybe i really should have known that... oh and i also have a heart murmur.. all 3 docs who examined me last night and today seemed to think it was a pretty impressive one lolol

Hello Manhattan1

Sorry to hear you are back in hospital.

I know the feeling only too well.

Good to hear your heart is okay and that the Consultant took your Microvascular angina seriously hopefully awareness is finally getting out there!

Don't be shy to ask for adequate pain relief.

I tend to end up on IV GTN and morphine when my vasospastic angina plays up.

Rest well and I hope you get home soon.
