Hi I've been diagnosed with Atrial Tachycardia. Over the last few nights persistent heart palpitations accompanied by a mild burning/stinging sensation across my upper chest are followed by needing to urinate 5 times a night. These all prevent me from sleeping. I'm on 2.5 of Bisoprolol twice day. Any thoughts on these symptoms - the sleep deprivation is crippling me and adding to bouts anxiety and depression. I wonder if they might result form undiagnosed sleep apnea but I also worry about heart failure (although I've been to A&E with these symptoms re the mild burning and the bloods showed nothing).

My husband has sleep apnea. On a very rare occasion he may not use the cpap. On those nights he does get up to urinate frequently.
Also, unfortunately, this happens with age.
If you think it's sleep apnea please discuss with your md and get tested.

Arrhythmia causes the release of atrial naturetic factor, a polypeptide, that stimulates urination!
Have you had your prostate checked?
I’ve been diagnosed with tachycardia and on 2.5 mg Bisoprolol and I’m suddenly going to the toilet a lot during the night. I’ve put it down to the medication as I don’t normally go to the toilet in the night. Hope you feel better soon 👍
