I am a 94 yr old woman quite fit for my age apart from a few hiccups, I have an exercise bike that I cycle on every day for 30 to 45 mins at a slower pace than most, but at least I'm still moving..... 15yrs ago I had a blocked artery in my Heart, so they put in a stent which has done me very well for many years, but recently my heart rate and blood pressure has been up and down, feeling a little dizzy and a little out of breath (but not every day)...... The doctor at the hospital put a 24 hr monitor on me 2 weeks ago and am waiting to go back on the 29th Oct to discuss the results .....but today there was a letter in the porch from the hospital stating that I had missed an appointment. and that with my condition would maybe benefit from having a pacemaker fitted, I think this is a copy of a letter that was sent to my surgery...... Is it normal to have both of these procedures done ...

Nothing to add to the fantastic info posted by TWU (I’m too tired to type full name!)

Just wanted to say well done on keeping up the exercise 🙂 you might find you speed up a bit with your pacemaker! You’re an inspiration

TidyIvy you are truly an inspiration. If I make it to 94 I will be astounded 😊

Nothing to add, except to say - 94 and still cycling, amazing and inspiring, and you could well be the most senior contributor on this forum. Keep going! 😊

Hi, my Aunt recently had a pacemaker fitted at the age of 95 and she is still living alone and coping well.

As they claim you missed an appointment, phone them immediately and say you never got one and insist on one right away. Well done you. I'm 20 years younger and couldn't use an exercise bike if I tried.
