EDOXABAN......Constipation

Big Hello,

I have now been taking EDOXABAN for a year now (Blood Thinner )

No side effects sofar

After Diagnosed that my Mitral Valve leaking slightly.

Also have mild A.F after a Aortic valve replacement some years ago

Otherwise healthy and am positive

I have noticed that i am suffering from Constipation for the past 6 months

Take all bran with my breakfast every day, Eat a mediterranean type diet

Does any one else suffer with this

Any advise

The best help with constipation is to increase fluids unless your heart condition precludes that. Exercise also helps. You are already adding bran but soluble fibre may help more ( think porridge. )

Your position on the loo makes a huge difference. Put you feet on a small stool or pile of books to straighten out your innards when you are trying to go. I have a cheap version of the squatty potty like this ebay.co.uk/i/293153147061?c...

Hi l am on warfarin and suffer from constipation, l have found that a glass of prune juice daily solves the problem however it turns your stools black and l panicked the first time because l thought it was blood. l also have a stool which l put my feet on, you must keep breathing deeply during the performance a Doctor told me. This is a funny thing to chat about on a Sunday morning, l hope you get it sorted. Take care, Sue.
