Prior to my (surprise) heart attack on 20th March I was on Simvastatin but after my procedure was put on Arorvastatin. My problem is that I cannot seem to increase my energy levels. I tried half an hour walking each day but after a week it seemed like my body had been unplugged and I was completely drained with very weak legs so rested up. However, despite pacing myself better I still get very tired on a daily basis. Any suggestions please.

Statins
I understand that but was just wondering whether a change of statins might help as there was a cardiologist on tv yesterday highlighting side effects of stations that aren't talked about much.
WHY DONT ASK GOOGLE WHAT FOODS ARE NATURAL BETA BLOCKERS, AS FOR STATINS I'VE BEEN TAKING 1,000 MG TWICE A DAY OF GUGULIPID TO LOWER MY CHOLESTEROL WITHOUT ANY SIDE EFFECTS. YOU MAY FEEL THE EFFECTS IN JUST A FEW DAYS. BUT DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR GRANTED, DO YOUR RESEARCH.
JUST AS A SIDE NOTE: ACCORDING TO EXPERTS "Gugulipid may prevent the building of up plaque in the arteries. By reducing the tendency of blood platelets to stick to artery walls, guggul decreases the likelihood of heart disease.

Thank you and yes I'm still learning to adapt
Thank you. I'm a very pragmatic person and expected some knock on issues I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.
I have had a similar issue, during my yearly Hypertension appointment I had a blood test which returned a 'depleted Potassium levels' result. Might be worth getting this checked as i had to stop taking two medications to get this back on track. I felt so tired all the time and was ready to just give up on any exercise.
Could be the statins. I gave up on them as they made me ache and feel like Id just run a marathon after walking a few meters. Beta blockers also can have that affect on some people even at very low doses - they left me breathless, etc. For years - thought it was my heart. May be worth trying different statins but also worth researching their pros and cons as I think there is a request in to parliament from leading Drs at the moment to examine their usefulness and harms. Speak to your Dr but also do your own research online. Best of luck.
Thank you I really appreciate that.
Thank you very much
It is worth asking a Dr if your weak legs could be a symptom of anything else such as Peripheral Artery Disease just in case there is another reason for the weakness. Take care.
