I’ve regularly swam around 1,500m in a pool before I went pop in June 2019 & as soon as I could after. I love water & the exercise is good for me.
On Monday I cooked a dinner which featured nothing new ingredient wise & then went swimming. I clocked my fastest time I can ever recall of 34:30 (37:55 last week) without trying all that hard.
Tuesday & today I’ve experienced almost volcanic board meetings. You might refer to them as rapid digestive transit.
Tuesday’s evening meal (pizza) was only half eaten so I had the rest for lunch today. Breakfast is 3 weetabix (copies) with brown bloomer bread & sandwiches for Tuesday’s lunch.
I’m going to see how I feel after tonight’s dinner but I’m now thinking I’ve turbocharged my atorvastatin’s fat burning process.
Is this possible?
I realise that without perfect knowledge it’s almost impossible to tell but the only other difference is the pool isn’t my regular one.
Could it be something I’ve picked up in the new pool? My regular one has another episode of legionella’s bacteria!

Could it be a case of heartburn/indigestion as opposed to the statins? I suffer with indigestion quite badly, and take Gaviscon for this. Perhaps speak to your GP and see if heartburn or poor indigestion is a possible cause.
thanks Tos92 , I don’t easily get heartburn but if I do I just eat more food. Or milk. Works for me! Would gaviscon ever want their product to work do you think?!
Well, depends how you look at it. As an experienced taker of Gaviscon, it only works temporarily. It is not a long-term cure to indigestion, that much I do know from my experience. I take it once every night as I find my reflux is the worst then.
Gaviscon is pretty good for acid reflux I find. I take it occasionally but it can make the difference between being comfortable and getting a good nights sleep. Or not. You could just suffer. I suppose everyone has the choice 😉
You may well have picked up a bug somewhere, not necessarily from the pool as you can easily pick up nasty bugs from many surfaces. I had very fast transit time last year for 2-3 months following a stomach bug before it reverted to normal.
