I recieved a letter from the hospital that confirms the stent i have had implanted but also tells me that I have 'equivocal thickening of the distal oesophagus'! I do seem to be clearing my throat a lot. Could this be related to the heart medictions? I am on Aspirin, Clopidogrel, Atorvastatin and beta blockers.
Thanks everyone!

The defining meaning says that a mild thickening of distal oesophagus means that there is some thickening of lower end of the oesophagus ( a tube that carries food from mouth to the stomach) near the point where it joins the stomach. this thickening can occur due to recurrent inflammations or following acid reflux into the lower oesophagus from the stomach. The leading part the "Equivocal" part, definition says it is: -
Equivocal definition. equivocal. medical dictionary. 1. (Literally, called equally one thing or the other; hence) Having two significations equally applicable; capable of double interpretation; of doubtful meaning; ambiguous; uncertain; as, equivocal words; an equivocal sentence.
Any further comment should really come from your doctor or specialist however, from the information I have found, does not mention any link between the diagnosis and medications you may be prescribed. Try and get an appointment with your family doctor and ask them for advice. Good luck to you
