Carvadilol

I have just been switched from Bisoprolol to Carvadilol and aren`t getting on too well with it, I`ve only had 4 tablets and have been sick and had a bout of AF, has anyone else had a problem with these tablets worse than Bisoprolol? What has been your experience with these tablets?

Sorry to hear this. Hope you can get speedy advice. Type in carvedilol in the search engine and you will find a couple of people have felt sick on taking this medication initially. I saw one lady said to take it after a snack. Might help.

Hi, I was having major problems with Bisoprolol, sleeping 11 hours every night, nodding off after lunch and feeling like a zombie all the time. My Gp put me on Carvedilol 6.25mg twice daily. Since the change of medication I have been feeling much better and have been able to do more. Its a bit like horses for courses, not all medication suits all patients. Speak to your Gp, there are different beta-blockers out there. One will have the desired effect without the side effects. Good luck and hope you are feeling better soon.

Thanks very much for your reply, seen GP today and she`s put me back on Metoprolol which I had been taking for 2 years previously but my Pharmacy was unable to get it, I am informed it`s back on now.
