Should I report symptom?

My 15 year old son has a moderate to severe leaking Tricuspid Value. He was born with the issue and the regurgitation has got steadily worse over the years. He is very lucky and very fit despite this. Over the last year though he’s had a few palpitations and therefore they have just repeated loads of tests and we are waiting for the results. However, on Friday he was sharing a kiss with his girlfriend and they were both made aware of a very loud clicking sound coming from his heart and then it took him about 5 mins to recover, he felt quite light headed. He feels silly reporting it as he was kissing lol poor chap.... he’s not had this before though.... should we be concerned?

I would report it if it were my son (who is now 37yo and doesn't have a heart condition). Poor kids, hearing his heart clicking must have scared the life out of them both.

But his needing five minutes to recover from light-headedness would have been my signal to ring the GP or if he has one, the cardiac nurse, straight away. That's what they're there for and it does sound as though it's something they need to know about just-in-case.
